Stephen Doyle
Executive Director
Stephen is a graduate of Sacred Heart University and has been a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Massachusetts for over twenty years. Prior to becoming an Administrator, Stephen worked in the Nursing Home field as a CNA and a restorative aide.
As the Administrator, Stephen is the primary point of contact for residents, families, and staff. He oversees the direction of residential care, staff supervision, family interface and day-to-day operations alongside a skilled and dedicated team. Stephen’s passion and empathy for the senior living industry is exemplified by his enthusiasm for providing the best level of care for the residents and staff that represent the Meadow Green family.
Stephen enjoys being outside, attending live music events and spending his free time with his family and his dog “Jax”.

Asif Merchant, MD, FACP, CMD, CPE

Co-Medical Director
Dr. Asif Merchant has completed his medical school training at K J Somaiya Medical College and Bombay University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Geriatric Medicine fellowship at North Shore University and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. He has completed a fellowship in Medical Education from Harvard School of Medicine.
Dr. Merchant is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine.
He is the Chief of Geriatrics and Extended Care Network at Newton Wellesley Hospital and a Partner at New England Community Medical Services,
Dr. Merchant has held a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School and currently is an Associate Clinical Professor at Tufts school of medicine. In addition, he Chairs the Geriatrics Committee of the Massachusetts Medical Society and has served as the President of the Greater New England Society of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care.
In September 2020, Dr. Merchant was appointed to the Governor Baker’s Advisory group for COVID-19 Vaccination in Massachusetts.
Azadeh Assarpour, MD
Co-Medical Director
Dr. Assarpour, one of our Co-Medical Directors, received her Medical Degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine. After finishing her residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital she went on to complete her Fellowship in Geriatrics at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. Dr. Assarpour is a Geriatrician with the Quimby Center for Geriatric Care at Mount Auburn Hospital.
We are so grateful to have someone with Dr. Assarpour’s experience as our Medical Director here at Meadow Green. She is an extremely skilled geriatrician and a well respected leader.

Director of Human Resources
We welcome Linda Romano, our new Human Resources Director!
Linda is originally from Connecticut and relocated to MA in 2013 to be closer to her grandchildren. Linda has many years’ experience in Human Resources. As an integral member of our team, she oversees recruitment, hiring and personnel policy at Meadow Green.

Patrick Orciani
Director of Admissions
Patrick joined the Meadow Green Team in Spring, 2019 and brings with him years of experience as an Admissions Director with extensive experience in customer service. As a long time resident of the Waltham, he has the ability to connect with residents and families both at Meadow Green and in the community.

Ralph Stoppello, M. Ed, BS & COTA/L
Director of Rehabilitation Services
Ralph is the Director of Rehabilitation Services for both Meadow Green & The Ellis. His education is in Occupational Therapy and Psychology with a Master’s Degree in Management & Organization.
Ralph has a 25 year diverse background of experience in healthcare including acute care, psychiatric care, substance abuse and skilled nursing. He also serves as a programming and treatment strategy consultant with many healthcare organizations. Ralph’s approach as a clinician, consultant or manager is to apply strong communication, open collaboration and a genuine willingness to engage in cooperation.
“My goal is always to find a way to connect with my clients on an empathic level. It is these “connections” that allow me to best serve my customers as well as to successfully lead my teams. Your loved one will be treated as our loved one. They will be treated with thoughtfulness, respect and above all they will know that their dignity will stay intact. That is our promise to you and whomever you wish to bring into our care.”

Sharon Rose
Sharon joined the Meadow Green team in February of 2022 and brings with her over 20 years of experience as Chef /Food Service Manger CDM, CFPP.
Sharon creates varied and nutritious menus that meet the needs of our residents. She is responsible for supervising the dining services operation, including ordering supplies and managing staff. Our residents enjoy wonderful daily menu choices and many special occasions thanks to Sharon’s skill and experience.

Kirsten MacWilliams

Activities Director
Kirsten MacWilliams is our Activities Director at Meadow Green.
Kirsten graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy.
Kirsten is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Certified Dementia Practitioner and Geri-Care Behavioral Instructor.
